The Village at Sherman Oaks is proud to announce that it has retained the web design and hosting services of David Gmach, owner of SitesToRemember.com. David has been designing websites for 15 years and is outstanding and creative at his craft. Already, David has implemented some terrific upgrades to the Village site, with many more to come.
Please make sure your Village business is listed in the site's directory. All directory listings are free, but if a business wants an upgraded and expanded listing, please send an email to david@SitesToRemember.com, and he will be more than happy to give you unbelievably low quotes.
Please join the Village in welcoming two brand new businesses to our community, Recellit, at 14547 Ventura Boulevard and Nothing Bundt Cakes, at 14622 Ventura Boulevard, #104. Recellit is the place to go to recycle used cellphones and electronics and get paid for them, and Nothing Bundt Cakes is the place to go for delectable cakes and treats. Both shops will have grand openings soon. Watch for the announcements on the Village website.
Please join the Sherman Oaks Beautification Committee and Big Sunday on the Mayor's Day of Service, Saturday, May 14, for a morning of community cleanup, camaraderie and good, old-fashioned neighborly fun. We will meet in the parking lot of the U.S. Bank on the northeast corner of Ventura Blvd and Van Nuys Boulevard at 8:30 am and sweep, rake, prune, paint, etc. until a swath of the Village shines like the jewel it is. Questions?
Property owners in the Village have another chance to vote for BID renewal and have the Village cleaned and maintained and polished. Since the expiration of the BID, the village has seen an increase in graffiti and debris on the sidewalks. Please help renew it's lustre by voting for BID renewal. For a ballot, contact Leslie_Elkan@yahoo.com. or call Leslie 818-326-0273
Please feel free to send suggestions for Village activities as well.
Warmly,
Leslie Elkan
